Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette: Winner Announced in Design Contest for Veterans Memorial

Laurinda Joenks reports on the Hinterlands winning submission for the Springdale Veterans Memorial design competition in the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

“SPRINGDALE— A veterans memorial planned for the city’s J.B. Hunt Park will ‘invite and inspire,’ said Peter MacKeith, dean of the Fay Jones school of Architecture at the University of Arkansas. A local group wants to build a memorial in Springdale they hope is on the scale of the memorials along the National Mall in Washington.”
